Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Review

Shade 19, Shade 101, Shade 1 & Shade 20

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Review - Shade 19, 101, 1 & 20 - £5.49 here

Hi everyone, hope you're all okay! I'm really excited to share this post with you all today it's about the lovely Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate Moss & I had so much fun taking photo's of these, I was feeling rather artistic haha and I got right into it so sorry it's a bit snap happy. Anyway, if you've read my blog for a while you will know I absolutely love Rimmel Lipsticks & just Rimmel as a brand, they are hands down the best high street makeup brand in my opinion and I can't get enough of their products and you'll see I have countless reviews of them on my blog. They have really stepped up and bought out such amazing products over the last year or so and I would say one of their best creations would have to be these Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipsticks. They were instant hits with me and I think a lot of the blogging world fell in love with them too.

Rimmel says 'Kate Moss has created her first ever lipstick collection for Rimmel London. With a selection of fashion-forward shades to choose from in an exclusive signature pack. The Lipstick Collection is a true chic treat, a must have for every Rimmel London Lover. With a breakthrough formula featuring the exclusive black diamond pigment complex, the lipstick reflects like never before creating gorgeous tones that make you look, and then look again. Kate’s collection captures the flair, edge and timelessness of her unique look. With 7 shades get ready to fall in love with your favourite!"

I love these lipsticks, they are highly pigmented, one swipe and you get an amazing color payoff and they are very creamy and not too drying on the lips either. They are just perfect for getting a really great pop of color on the lips and I find that they have an amazing shade selection, I love the fact that the collaboration has meant that we have bold & bright lipsticks which are very Kate-esq, this is one collaboration that has gone completely right, all of these lipsticks you could actually see Kate wearing all of the shades are so unique and different to what you would normally see on the high street and the formulation of these lippies for the price is pretty amazing too. I currently own 4 shades of the Kate Moss Lipsticks but I am looking to pick up some more because I love them that much, the shades I own are 1, 19 & 20 from the original range and number 101 from the matte range which is the one in the red packaging, they are all very unique shades & I am so excited to share my opinion of them all with you.

Shade 19 - Shade 19 is a really browny undertoned lipstick, it looks quite light in the tube and almost looks like a pinky nude but on the lips it looks completely different, it has a strong red undertone and it's really brown based. It is still quite a nude shade though, it's just a darker nude shade which is really good if you want to go quite understated on the lips and want to kind of mute them out a bit if you're playing up other features on your face. It's pretty good if you want a nice color for everyday. I'm kind of on the fence about this shade, it's quite a dark nude for my skin tone and out of all of the Kate Moss lipsticks I find I reach for this one the least but I think that's just because it's out of my comfort zone, it is very pretty though and it almost has some glitter to it which causes a really nice sheen on the lips.

Shade 101 - This is my fav of all of the Kate Moss Lipsticks, if you've read my blog for a while you know that I love milky pink or baby pink lip colors and they tend to be my most reached for lip colors so this one is pretty perfect. It's a very very light pink and it's definitely a 'my lips but better color' it's very nude and simple and it's a color that you can wear for work or school during the day and it looks really pretty. You can also wear it at night with a smokey eye and it looks really pretty. This is a lipstick that I get a huge amount of wear out of and I think it looks really pretty on the lips. Even though this is from the matte collection (hence the different packaging) I don't find this lipstick drying or completely matte anyway, it still has a bit of a sheen to it and it's still as creamy as the other lipstick formulas.

Shade 1 - Out of all of the shades within this Kate Moss Lipstick range I think this is the one that represents Kate the best, I don't know why but I see Kate as a real British icon & this red lipstick is so bright and fun, it kind of reminds me of the shade of a London Bus & because Kate is such a Londoner herself I really think it fits in. The thing I love about the shade is even though it's really bright I still feel like you can wear it and it's a fun pop of color, it's not too dark which means it quite suits my paler skin & I just think it's such a traditional color and a shade that everybody needs in their makeup collection.

Shade 20 - This lipstick is amazing! It's such a fun, bright color and I literally adore it, this is a bright fuchsia pink and it's soooo cool! I love really bright pink lipsticks and this one is very bright it's the perfect lipstick for night time and it's a color that really works with my skin tone and makes me look more awake. This lipstick is crazy pigmented just like all the other lipsticks from this collection and it has a really nice sheen to it which means it really lifts the lips and doesn't make them look flat at all. This lipstick has strong blue undertones and I just think it's amazing, every girl needs a bright pink lipstick and this one is great for that.

You can see that I love each individual shade that I've picked up from the Kate Moss collection, they have great pigmentation, they're creamy and not drying and they last a fair amount of time on the lips as well. They also have an amazing shade selection and you can pick up a lot of different shades from this range that you wouldn't normally find at the drugstore. I also just wanted to quickly mention the packaging. I really love it, the sleek black bullets are really nice and I love how every single one of them has 'Kate' written on it in her handwriting in the color of the lipstick you've picked up, I think that's a really nice touch. The price point of these lipsticks is amazing too at only £5.49 a piece, that's crazy for the quality! Have any of you tried these lipsticks? What's your opinion on them? Hope you enjoyed this post & I'll speak to you all really soon! :) xxx

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk Review

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk - £10.00

Hi Dolls, Hope you're all okay and had a nice today. Today I thought I would do a full review of one of the products that I recently mentioned in my February Favorites Post - The Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk. This is yet another product from Soap and Glory and if you don't know by now i'm one of the brands biggest fans, I own loads of their products and love a great deal of them. This is a product that isn't really talked about in the beauty community, I don't think I've ever really heard anything about it which is why when I got this bottle of lushness in a gift set I just popped it in my S&G drawer and later on discovered it and didn't understand why I didn't try it sooner! In terms of my favourite Soap and Glory products this one has risen right to the top along with the Clean on me Shower Gel and I just thought i'd share it with you all today because it's sooo underrated.

The Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk is basically a really thick and creamy body moisturizer, they recommend that you use this after you've showered to lock in moisture from your shoulders right down to your toes. It contains moisture trapping water-lock technology which traps in the moisture meaning that your skin feels soft and hydrated all day long. I personally use this product whenever I want to top up my skins moisture, I suffer with quite dry skin and I find I can put this on in the mornings and in the evenings and whenever really and it really helps me to feel really smooth and my skin seems to feel really nourished.

One of my fav things about this product as with pretty much every single Soap and Glory product is the packaging, it's really girly and fun, it's pink and cream inspired and is really feminine and I like getting this out to use it. I think Soap and Glory really get it right with their packaging and also the names of their products, Smoothie Star just sounds so cute and they have written things on the bottle like 'a strictly a-list mix of dewy deliciousness, it's nothing short of a smoothie star'. I also love that these bottles are 500ml, I find moisturizers last quite a long time anyway but I've tried several from Soap and Glory and because they're such good quality they will last you for a really long time, 500ml is a huge amount of product too. Something else I love about the packaging is the pump which allows you to control the exact amount of product that you dispense so you don't waste any product.

Probably the best thing about this product is the smell though, I'm a real sucker for good smelling products, I love using a moisturizer that smells really good and this smells absolutely amazing, it has extracts of Almond, Cocoa, Yogurt, Oat & Honey and it's a really sweet fragrence which is just soooo nice. I love anything that smells sweet and when I use this I literally smell like a giant cookie or a cake which is sooo nice! If you love sweet smelling scents and Vanilla and Cocoa scents I can promise you that you will love the smell of this. I just find that I'm constantly putting this on just because I adore the smell so much. Plus it's such a creamy moisturizer, it's thick but doesn't make your skin feel like its clogged with product and it also sinks in really quickly and just leaves you feeling like you've applied moisturizer 10 minutes ago all day.

I love this product and if you're yet to try something from Soap and Glory or if you want to try something new I would make sure that you try this out as soon as possible! You can pick this product up from the Boots website here for a reasonable £10.00 and all Soap and Glory products are actually 3 for 2 right now so it's a really great time to treat yourself! What's your opinion on S&G? :) Let me know & I'll speak to you all really soon! xxxx

No 7 Stay Perfect Nail Varnish Review

Boots No7 Vail Varnishes - Hot To Trot (here), Damson Dream (here), Totally Teal (here) Vivid Violet (here), Sing the Blues.

Hi Lovely Ladies, Hope you're all okay and having a nice Monday if it's even possible for anyone to have a nice Monday! Today I thought I would share with you some really lovely nail varnishes from Boots No.7 Line. If you read my Feb Favorites Post you might have seen that I included some of these nail varnishes and said that I've been loving them so I thought I would dedicate a whole post to them. I actually got this set of a friend not last Christmas but the Christmas before and these are still going strong & are looking even nicer than ever. Anyway, you may know that No.7 reformulated all of their products and changed the packaging last year but I still managed to find 4 out of the 5 shades on the Boots website and I've linked them above so you can pretty much pick up all of the shades apart from the Dark Blue which I think they have renamed because the shade Thunderstorm that you can find here looks pretty similar to me. Anyway on to the review.

I was really happy to receive this No.7 nail varnish set as a gift from my friend 2 Christmas's ago, I really liked all of the colors within it and I really like the fact that the No.7 Nail Varnishes are a really good quality and I would say that they are some of the best you can pick up on the high street. They have amazing pigmentation and on the false nail swatches I've included above I only needed one coat to get a pretty opaque coverage on my nails I find the same but I think if you picked up a lighter shade then you may need an extra coat. I also find the drying time with these nail varnishes to be pretty impressive, I'm rubbish at waiting for my nails to dry but with these I find that they are pretty quick, not instant drying time but I don't have to sit around for an hour and not move or touch anything with these, i'd say they're pretty much good to go after about 5 minutes which I think is pretty good. I love that these shades have a really nice sheen to them, they're not a matte finish and they're not glittery they just have a really lovely sheen to them and when your nails hit the light it has a lovely iridescent finish which I love. I think the bottles of these are really pretty and sleek as well and they look nice in my makeup collection and I love the names of all the shades as well and I think they're really fun.

Hot to Trot - This name is such a fun one, anyway this is a really lovely Gold colour, to be honest I'm not normally a fan of gold nails and I think they can look a bit unflattering but in actual fact this gold is quite individual I feel like it has almost a olive undertone running through it. I know that sounds really strange but I just think it's a lovely color. I think the reason I really like this shade is that it doesn't have too much copper running through it and it isn't too brassy which means its more flattering and doesn't look so harsh on the nails. I also love the sheen of this color and if you really look at it you can see it has really nice flecks of silver shimmer running through it which I love.

Damson Dream - This is like a deep, dark, almost burgundy red shade, if I showed you my nail varnish collection you would see that I own mostly bright reds and pinks and for some reason those are the colors that I seem to go for when I'm picking up a nail varnish this particular red is quite a lot darker than I would normally go for and I think it's quite a mature red, I just think it's a grown up shade & it has a really nice purple undertone running through it which means that the color is deepened and would look really nice for evening wear if you were going somewhere really special, this is a really individual color I think too.

Totally Teal - I think the name of this color is wrong, for me teal is more blue based and quite bright where as I think this color is a dark, forest green which isn't really that bright or very teal at all. I think this is one of those colors that would look really nice with a tan and would look lovely in the Summer months just because it's a bit darker and it might look a bit out there in the winter and early spring. I think out of all the colors I've shown this is probably the most matte of them all and it doesn't really seem to have any shimmer running through it or even have a sheen, it does look quite shiny on the nails still though.

Vivid Violet - I love this one! If I had to pick one of these varnishes to own it would 100% be this one, it's just such a cool color. I love the name of it for a start but I just think this is one of the nicest bright purples I've ever seen. It has a lot of blue running through it but it's bright and just gorgeous. It looks really nice on the nails but again quite dark so would probably look a bit nicer with a tan or in the summer, or just if you have a darker skin tone than I do. It's got a really lovely purple and silver shimmer running through it but it's barely noticeable you'd really have to get the magnifying glass out to really see it but it adds such a pretty finish too it.

Sing the Blues - This is the deepest but brightest midnight blue nail polish, it's quite dark but also has the brightest which is what I like about it. There are quite a few similar shades to this but i'm still really glad I own it because I find the formulation of the No.7 ones to be pretty damn good. I like that this has a nice sheen and some tiny glitter running through it again and I think this is quite a flattering color for all year round. It just looks really nice on the nails and it's got so much depth. I'm a massive fan of this one too & I wish they still did the exact shade!

Anyway I hope you really enjoyed this review, I found it so fun to write and I would recommend these nail polishes to anyone, these are only £6.00 which is pretty good if you consider the quality and the prices of some of the more expensive brands of polish. I love the formulation, the drying time and the pigmentation of these polishes. Let me know if you've tried any & I'll speak to you all soon! :) xxx

Products That I've Used Up..

Empties Post #1
Hi everyone, hope you've all had a lovely weekend and your Sunday has been nice and relaxing! I've been looking at a new car today so that's been fun! Anyway, I've never done an 'empties' post on my blog before so after collecting some finished products for a few months now I thought I would give it ago. I love reading other peoples empties posts, I think you can really get an honest opinion of how somebody liked a product if they've used it all up. I find it really hard to use products up too and to be honest I only full use something up if I enjoy reading it otherwise it just seems to lay unloved in my drawer. Anyway i'll get on to the actual post.

Skin, Body & Hair Care Empties

Soap and Glory Calm On Me - Bubble Bath - This is probably one of my most favorite products ever from S&G and I have tried a huge amount of them. I love it because it has a built in body lotion which means your baths double up as a creamy lather and your skin is left smooth and moisturized as well as you having a lovely sweet smelling body bath. I will definitely be repurchasing this especially as this bottle lasted me a good year with weekly use. Such a good product.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Shine Mask - I love Aussie hair care, I discovered this product in December and I've been using it on my hair pretty much every wash since, the bad thing about this was the fact that I thought this was a normal conditioner not an actual hair mask, but regardless my hair has never felt softer, shinier or in better condition and the smell of this product is out of this world. I have never ever repurchased a hair product but I couldn't imagine my hair without using this, i'm in love & I would recommend this to everyone.

Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Scrub - This isn't the most glamorous product but I suffer with blemishes and problem skin and this is one of the only products I've found that sorts it out and sorts it out fast. This is basically a gel with beads which exfoliate the skin and also help to get rid of any spots, blemishes or black heads and help to reduce pore size. If you're looking for a quick fix for your skin then this is a really good one & it's pretty inexpensive too.

Hugo Deep Red Perfume - I love this perfume & i'm really sad to have got to the end of the bottle, I think it's always a sad moment when you finish a fragrance and this was definitely sad for me. I love the smell of this perfume, it smells really sweet and refreshing but it almost has quite a musky scent and smells quite grown up so is lovely to wear in the evenings. I would recommend you giving this a spray if you can find it it's smell amazing!

Face Wipes

Boots No.7 Beautiful Skin Wipes - These wipes were a huge disappointment to me, I've heard a lot of people rave about them & because they retail at £7.00 a pack I thought they must be really good. I had a voucher which only made them £2.00 but I don't think I'd even buy them at that price again, I found them hard to use, they didn't remove my makeup very well and I had to use 2 or 3 to make sure my face felt really clean. I didn't mind these that much but I wouldn't say that they were worth the price or were anything to rave about.

Johnson Face Care Wipes - These are my fav face wipes ever, I've already got another 2 packs at the ready, I don't know what it is about these but they just remove makeup like a dream, they smell really good, they're wet enough and can cope with getting rid of waterproof mascara and they help improve the condition of my skin and leave my skin feeling really moisturized too! If you're looking for any face wipes look no further than these!

Foundations, Powders & Concealers

Mac Mineralize Skin finish Natural - I love this powder, I actually did a review about it here! It's the best powder I've ever tried, it looks so natural but gives amazing coverage and really makes your makeup look much more expensive and professional. I want to repurchase this but I think i'll keep it for night time wear from now on just because I go through powders ridiculously quick that's why there's so many mentioned in this post haha!

Max-factor Powder - I really love this powder too, it comes in the nicest compact with a sponge and  a mirror, you can read more about this in a haul here, it's perfect for every day, it has amazing coverage, is great for touch up's and lasts all day. I'd really recommend this beauty.

Rimmel Matte Perfection Powder - This is also a great powder and cheap as chips, this is just a translucent mattifying powder and to be honest at first I really didn't understand the hype but this powder is actually amazing for oil control, especially if you have an oily t-zone you can just sweep this on with a big fluffy brush and it will take care of it instantly. It's also fab for setting your makeup in place.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - If you've read my blog for a while it's probably no surprise to you that I have used up yet enough bottle of my trusty Rimmel Wake me up foundation, I love this stuff and will continue to repurchase it forever I think. I won't ramble too much about it because this bad boy has had a huge amount of coverage on my blog already but if you want to know a bit more about it feel free to read my full review here beware though it's a really old post & the picture quality is pretty awful.

Benefit Bo-ing Concealer - I find that I go through concealers pretty quickly and this one was no exception this is the Bo-ing Concealer by benefit, I didn't mind this the concealer and it did the job whilst I used it but I much prefer my Mac Studio Finish Concealer and therefore won't be picking this up again, I just felt like I needed a little bit more coverage personally, but if you don't have too troublesome skin or your dark circles aren't too bad then check this out because a lot of people love it.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - Another concealer I've really liked is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer,  it's amazing and just great because it's only around a fiver, as you can see I like this concealer so much I've gone through 2 and I will buy more once I've used up the rest of my concealer, I just sometimes think this one can look a little cakey under my eye area & the mac one I use now looks a lot more natural because it's a lot creamier.

Mascara's

Maxfactor's False Lash Effect Mascara - I really like Maxfactor Mascara's and I used this one for quite a long time & really enjoyed using it, it really made my lashes look long and volumised and I think the brush on this mascara was pretty impressive. I'm not one to repurchase mascara's because i'm still on the hunt for the perfect one but this was is pretty good.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara - Again a really lovely mascara, I love the brush because it's so unique and is almost curled so this one of the only mascara's i've found that really holds a curl and makes my lashes look curly, thick and long, I love maybelline mascara's too and if i'm going to pick one up from Boots it's normally Maxfactor, L'oreal or Maybelline.

Hope you all enjoyed this post, let me know what products you've been using up & if you've tried any of the products I've mentioned & i'll speak to you all really soon! :) xxx

Tag: Blogger Confessions

Hi ladies, today I thought i'd do a tag post this tag is all to do with blogging and is called 'Confessions of a blogger', I wasn't sure what to really post about today and I saw this post on Kayleigh from Couture girls blog here - go check her out if you haven't already so I thought i'd give it ago because it's always nice for you guys to see what kind of blogger I am and get to know a little bit more about me. Also please feel free to do the tag too! It''s really fun and everyone can get involved and have something to say and I want to read all of your answers too!

When did you start your blog?
I started my blog in August of this year, i'd spent a huge amount of time following other blogs and watching loads of you tube channels and I would never go out and buy any products without thoroughly researching them on the internet first. I really enjoyed reading blogs and thought i'd give it ago, I would read through them and think 'I could do that', so one day I booted up blogger and signed up and I've definitely never looked back. Sometimes I blog every single day and other times I take a break and only post when I'm feeling inspired but it's a very comforting thing knowing that I always have somewhere to go and write.

Have you had any past online presence before (Other blog, YouTube)?
Nope, I've never had a you tube channel or a blog before, it wasn't really something I considered all that much and it was definitely a spur of the moment kind of thing when I decided I would create my blog, I don't think I would ever really have the confidence to go and record You tube channels some of the negativity that I read on some of the video's I love watching on there really puts me off and I don't think I could ever really have another blog apart from this one but who knows what the future will hold on that front.

Why did you start a blog?
I think I just started a blog because I like to write, I loved reading other peoples blog and had read them for as long as I could remember, I don't really know why one day I was so inspired to start one but I just know I like to write and I like beauty so I thought I may as well give it ago. I thought just as much as I enjoyed seeing what other beauty bloggers had to say about all things makeup that someone might enjoy what I had to say as well and in all honesty if people hadn't read it I think I would still write it because I find a lot of comfort it in and it's really the only hobby i've ever really had and stuck too.

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I don't think i've ever become really serious about starting my blog, I didn't think about the seriousness much, I like to write and I like beauty and I wanted to combine the two, I thought it was cool that I could have a space on the internet that was just dedicated to me and what I wanted to write about and as I did it more I began to enjoy it more. Even now i'm not too serious about my blog, I enjoy it, I love writing it and I love all the people who read and follow me but I try not to worry about it too much or put too much pressure on my self. It's a hobby and a passion all rolled into one and I want it to be fun, when people take their blogs to serious and begin seeing the whole thing as more of a business I can bet that it takes a lot of the fun out of it all and I don't really want that to happen to my blog, it's fun and I like doing it and the day that i'm bored and don't enjoy it anymore I won't do it. I think the thing that made me take my blog more seriously though and see that it could actually be successful was when I started receiving a fair few comments, people emailing me asking for advice on their own blogs and as people began following my blog and interacting with me. That therefore made me take it more seriously and work harder for all the people who have supported me.

What was your first post?
Oh my gosh, my first post was only 6 months ago but it is probably one of the most cringiest things ever, I can't even believe that I wrote that haha. I think everybody's first post is always a little awkward, just because of the fact that you're writing to yourself, no one is reading at that point so you're just putting yourself out there, trying to explain what you're all about and not really having a clue what you're doing. When I read it now it gives me such a huge laugh, it's crazy how much has changed and how much more comfortable I feel writing on my blog now haha!

What has been your biggest challenge about blogging?
Hmm, to be honest I don't find blogging a huge challenge otherwise I wouldn't do it, I love doing it which is why I do but the one thing I would say I find a challenge in terms of my blog is making sure I post enough so that the people read it always have something new to read and also making sure that I have good things to post about, I want to write a lot of good posts that people enjoy and I want to make sure that I post enough and I think it's quite challenging making sure that you do that.

Where do you see your blog in one year?
I have no idea where I see my blog in one year, I don't think I've ever really thought of a future for my blog, I just like to write it and if I still enjoy writing it and i'm still at it in a years time then I think that will be a really big achievement, I don't expect to achieve anything amazing by then, I will be happy if i'm happy writing it, if it's still around and if people are still enjoying reading, that will definitely be enough for me.

What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
I think the most rewarding thing about blogging in terms of me is all the great blogs I've found, all the great people that I've chatted too and all the lovely comments and emails I receive. I didn't think anyone would even read my blog and now I get loads of people telling me they love it and they enjoy reading it, it's a very proud moment every time says anything nice about any of the things I write and I think that's why I continue to do it and look forward to posting something new so much.

What is the most discouraging thing that has happens to you?
I can't actually answer this question, I don't think I've had one discouraging thing happen to me through blogging otherwise I wouldn't continue to do it, I've actually been lucky enough to never receive any negative comments or any bad feedback & i'm very happy to be able to say that.

What's your lasting inspiration or motivation?
I would say that my lasting motivation or inspiration in terms of blogging would be all the lovely people who write nice things about my  blog and follow me. I know that they enjoy reading my posts and that therefore means that I'm much more likely to write them. I think it's really nice when people have noticed I haven't blogged for a while and email me or tweet me to ask me when i'[ll be posting again. I also think seeing the success of other bloggers and reading other blogs makes me want to constantly update mine in the hope it will continue to develop.

Anyway I hope you all enjoyed reading this tag, please share it and do it too! I think it's a really good tag and I would like too see all of your answers too! Speak to you all soon & I hope you're all having a really lovely weekend! xxx
