January Favorites

Monthly Favorites - Angelica Nail Polish, Lancome Mascara, Juicy Couture Perfume, Elf blush and bronzing duo, Rimmel Wake me up foundation, Simple Cleanser, Topshop Innocence, Mac Angel, Naked 2 and Mac MSF natural.

Hi! Today I thought i'd share with you all my January Favorites, this is just a round up off all the products i've been loving in January. I can't believe January is over already! It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since Christmas - crazy times. Anyway before I get on with it I just wanted to say thank you for all the support this month, I hope my blog can continue with this success next month too.
First for my favorites this month is the gorgeous blue Angelica glitter nail polish, they are a nail varnish brand that sell their polishes at Primark for £2.50 or on their website, I won't ramble too much about it because you can read a whole post dedicated to it here but it's just a really gorgeous nail polish which gives pretty opaque coverage and is great quality for the small price tag.
Secondly we have the Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara, I reviewed this in the last post on my blog after falling in love with it when I received it for Christmas. It creates a huge amount of length and holds the curl of my lashes and really does make them look like 'hollywood lashes' which was the idea behind the ad campaign, you can read more information here.
The third thing I've been loving this month is the Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Perfume, (more information here) I recieved this as a gift at the very start of December for my birthday and i've been loving wearing it, it is a very strong scent and therefore a little bit goes a long way. I love that it's a sweet and strong perfume because that's my preference and the bottle is sooo cute too! It's just a really good perfume and it's become my signature scent!
The next thing I have been loving this month was a rediscovery, I have owned the Elf Blush and Bronzing Kit for well over 6 months and I found it in my blush drawer the other week when I was looking for something a bit different and I've really been enjoying it. It comes with a bronzer and a light pink blush with subtle shimmer running through it. I just really love it, both the bronzer and blush are really pigmented and blend well, and it's perfect for travelling because it's a duo in a good compact with a massive mirror so you can just chuck it in your bag if you like to top your makeup up through the day. Also this was a massive bargain, at the time I picked it up I think it was like £3.50? Which is pretty crazy for the quality, I've heard some people even compare this to the Nars Laguna & Orgasm blush and bronzing duo!
The next thing I've been loving this month and will probably love for many months in the future is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, I've been buying and using this foundation for over a year now and every time it runs out i don't even think about it but i just go and pick up a new one. I use it every single day and I actually don't think there is a better alternative on the high street in terms of a cheaper foundation, I even prefer this to higher end alternatives which is crazy considering you can pick this up for under £10.00, this product has had a huge amount of coverage on my blog and I can bet you're sick of hearing about it but if you want too you can find a full review here.
Simple Skincare has been the next thing I've been loving this month, my skin has become really sensitive recently which is strange because before I could pretty much slap anything on my face and it would work out fine for me. But anyway the savoir for my face over the last few months has been simple skin care, in particular the cleanser that helps remove my makeup every day as well as the toner. They are just brilliant products that do the job well and don't irritate, or sting or dry the skin out in anyway. I know that I've mentioned these on my blog before so I won't go into too much detail but there is more information here.
Next are two lipsticks, you may have seen me raving about Mac Angel here, when I say it is the best lipstick I've ever tried i'm really not lying, I really do love it so much, it's gorgeous and the perfect color for every single day, I received this for Christmas and you can see I've really used it, I don't actually think there's been a day this month where this hasn't been on my lips. Next is the Topshop Lipstick in Innocence, I've had this for a while and at first I just couldn't get on with it, but recently I've tried it again and it's so creamy and nice that I've been enjoying it, it's a similar sort of color to Angel just without the glaze formula and I like applying this on days where I need a bit of extra moisture on my lips, in all fairness I pretty much wear Innocence and Angel together as an everyday combination and I find it works really well.
The next product was probably hands down the most favorite products of my favorites this month, I loveeee it! It's the Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay, I love Urban Decay and this and the Vice Palette have been my go to eyeshadow Palettes for the month. I love this one so much because it's so easy to wear, I can't believe after owning this for about 6 months I've only given it the time of day this month, it's amazing! I love it, it provides a really nice selection of neutral eye colors and I've been loving creating looks with it! It's seriously so good and i'll be popping up reviews of this and the Vice Palette over the next month for you.
Lastly is my beloved Mac MSF natural, I did a review on this not along ago and I would definitely say that it wins my award for my holy grail powder, it's perfect in every single way, gives you great coverage without making you look powdery, it doesn't make you look matte but holds your oil really well and is just such a natural powder that makes your skin glow! I love it, you can read more about it here here.
Anyway, I hope you liked this post, let me know the products you've been loving this month! xx

Lancôme Hypnose Star Mascara Christmas Gift Set

Lancôme Hypnose Star Mascara Christmas Gift Set - £21.00

Hi Lovelies, Today's post is going to be about the Lancôme Hypnose Star Mascara, this was another Christmas Gift from my lovely mum (I know, i'm slowly getting round to reviewing all my gifts) and this was one of my favourites. Me and my mum went to a Lancôme counter a few weeks before Christmas and she picked this up for me. I was so happy to receive this as a gift due to the fact that I normally just buy drugstore mascara's so it's always nice to receive a beauty product that you wouldn't normally go for. The only high end mascara I've tried prior to this was the Benefit 'They're Real' which I loved but it dried out way to quickly which was a massive disappointment. Anyway i'm going to jump right into the review now.
This gift set is so cute and I think Lancôme always get it right with their Christmas Gift sets, it's really nice to receive a mascara with two sample size products as well as receive it in such a nice Christmas Gift Box, I think the gold packaging just really made it special and Lancôme also wrapped it up in their own personal wrapping paper which I think is a really nice touch too. This gift set came with the Hypnose Mascara in the shade Noir Midnight which is 6.5g and then it came with a Bi Facil and a Mini Kohl Eyeliner, which gives you the perfect combination because you have the mascara and eyeliner to create some really cool eye makeup and then the Bi Facil to remove the eye makeup really effectively and easily at the end of the night too.
Firstly I want to talk about the mascara, the first thing I noticed was the gorgeous packaging of this particular mascara, it has a really nice glitter running through it and that makes it perfect for most girly girls, it's also black and therefore really sleek packaging too. The Lancôme Hypnose mascara also claims that it will create glamorous volume and a Hollywood like curve and I would completely agree, when I apply this I find that my lashes actually look really good, they are left curled and long and they have volume too and I really do feel like my lashes look pretty impressive. Betty Boop and Daria Werbowy are the faces of the campaign behind the Hypnose Mascara and it claims to give you the glamorous lashes that both of these Hollywood stars have. The formula of this mascara also has a 'black diamond effect', which I think means it has a glossy gel like finish, I'm not too sure about this, I didn't notice a massive difference in the effect or colour of this mascara compared to others that I've used. The wand of this mascara is also pretty impressive, it is a stiff, plastic wand which I really like, I would say that it is built to really give you good length and make your lashes really lengthened but I do think the wand could be improved because I felt this mascara lacked a little in the volumising department. Probably my favourite thing about this mascara is the fact that the wand really gives a good amount of coverage of small and the small corner bottom lashes which are hard to reach and this wand really does grab lashes that you didn't even knew you had. The wand also has a dual side brush which is meant to help build up the "glamorous intensity", I think this is a cool feature but I didn't see a massive difference in both sides of the brush in all honesty. This is a really good mascara though and I do really like it, it has a 4 star review on the Boots website and works really well to lengthen the lashes, separates them  and keep them really curled too I just wish it had a little bit more volume than it actually does. It also has a really good lasting power and it isn't going to be one of those mascara's that just flakes or disappears. I actually really recommend this mascara the lengthening that this wand creates is pretty impressive and I always layer my mascara's anyway so the volume issue wasn't really a problem with me!

Next in the kit is the Bi Facil, you get 30ml of product and it is a Non-Oily Formula that is really good for sensitive eyes. Lancôme claims that this product is an instant cleanser for the eye area. I really would agree I have used this several times after nights out when I have worn a lot of eye makeup and it really does remove eye makeup really quickly and effectively, you do have to shake it really well first though because it does contain a lot of oil and you could end up with a really oily eyelid if you don't make sure to shake it well. The only thing is that it does have a bit of a strange scent that I can't really put my finger on, but it wouldn't deter me from using it and as it is one of Lancôme's top selling products it doesn't seem to put other people off either. I think it's so cool that this was included in the kit and I really liked trying it out, I'm not sure that I would buy the full size just because it is so expensive but I did really like it.

Lastly you get the Mini Kohl Eyeliner in Black, it's pretty basic and simple and does the same as many other kohl eyeliners that I've tried, but it is a nice freebie and I'm always running out of eyeliners so this was a nice touch. Plus it's the perfect size to chuck in my bag for eye touch up's during the day because it's not a full size product.

Overall I really like this gift set, the packaging is really cute, all of the products inside it really impressed me, it was also a great price seeming as the Lancôme Hypnose Star is £21.00 by its self so you really just get the Bi Facil and Eyeliner free which is ace! Really do love this mascara and the whole kit and I would recommend this mascara! Let me know if any mascara's have impressed you lately! xx

Boots Haul

Hi Dolls, Today I thought I would show you some bits and bobs I've been buying from Boots lately, a lot of know that I love Boots and could probably spend my whole day shopping in their and I picked up a fair few things last week that I thought I'd share for you all. I'm not going to do full reviews of any of the products just yet because I haven't trialled them for long enough but what I will do is give you my first impressions of some of the products I picked up!

The first thing I picked up was this gorgeous makeup bag, I think it's a really good buy, I have my Ikea Alex Drawers that I keep most of my makeup in but when I'm in a rush I just like to have all of my everyday essentials in one place just because it makes it easy and I don't have to root around all of the drawers. I thought this bag was really cute, it's part of the Boots Essential Range and is just called the makeup bag, it was only £2.00 which I think is a pretty good bargain and I love the pattern on it, it kind of reminds me of a Cath Kidson type with loads of flowers and stuff but without the hefty price tag. It's also great to store makeup in because it has a really cool plastic outer coating which means that I can wipe it clean when it gets dirty! I couldn't find this exact  one on the Boots website so I don't know if you can only pick this up in store but there is a similar type bag here just with a different pattern.

The next two things I picked up was some more foundation, I know I have bottles and bottles of the stuff, Boots were actually running an offer on some of their L'Oreal products where you could pick two products up for £15.00, the L'Oreal true match foundation and also the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation were both in this offer so I thought I would pick them up and give them ago. It was actually a pretty good deal because together they both retail at about £11.00 each so i'm glad I picked those up. I've only tried the L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation so far but from first impressions it works pretty well, wears quite nicely and gives me a good coverage, I'm not sure it leaves my face very 'aluminised' though. You can pick these up on the Boots website here and here.

The next thing I picked up was from Maybelline, I am a huge fan of Maybelline Mascara's, I think they offer the best Mascara's from the drugstore for the cheapest price and i'm a big fan of the Maybelline falsie's mascara as well as the Maybelline Colossal Mascara. So when I saw that Maybelline's new offering to the mascara world the 'Rocket Volume' was down too £5.99 as an introductory offer I thought I may as well pick it up. I think the packaging of this mascara is really cute and I love the blue because it makes it really stand out, the brush is also pretty great too, it's got a massive brush with plastic bristles and so far it's done really great things for my lashes and left them both lengthened and volumised. You can pick this up here.

The next thing I picked up was this Max factor compact which I really like, you may have seen me raving on here about the Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Natural and I really do love that powder but it seems to have run out so fast after I posted that review so i'm now saving it for day's when I want too look a bit nicer and so I decided to pick a powder up from Boots for everyday.
The one I decided to get was this Maxfactor was. The first thing I love about it is how compact it is, it's one of the perfect powders that you can just throw in your bag and use it to fix your makeup during the day. I've known about this powder for years and years, it's my mum's favourite powder and she uses this as her base every single day and I've always stole it off her because it gives amazing coverage and lasts really long! But I thought I would get my own so I could leave hers alone haha. This is just an amazing compact and actually has 5 star reviews on the Boots website which shows just how good it is. You can pick this up for £10.99 here and it's also buy one, get one half price on Max Factor right now.

The last thing I picked up were the new Apocalips that have just been released by Rimmel London, these were released last Wednesday and the Blogging world has gone pretty much crazy over these ever since. I picked up two shades the day they got released, I picked up 101 Celestial and the other shade is Apocoliptic. I love the formula of these products, it's like a lipstick in the form of a lipgloss but without the stickiness of a gloss, so I've been enjoying these so far. You can pick these up here for £5.99 each.
Hope you enjoyed this, let me know what you've been buying lately! xx

Sophia With Love - Jewellery Review*

Hi! Hope you're all okay and having a nice Monday! Today I have something super exciting to share with you all, I woke up today to find a lovely package full of goodies from Sophiawithlove and I was soo excited to share the jewellery with you all. If you don't know (where have you been!) Sophia Meola who is a big part of the beauty blogging community has her own jewellery range which she sells from the website Sophiawithlove (www.sophiawithlove.co.uk), she sells really unique, hand made or hand picked pieces for a really small price and is also a lovely girl! Sophia was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to share some of her favourite pieces with you guys and hopefully you'll like them as much as I do! Sophia kindly set me the Blue Pastel Rose Ring, the Coral Daisy Earrings, the YSL style knuckle ring in red and gold and a gorgeous friendship bracelet too! And I thought they were way too cute not too share.

The first thing I wanted to mention was how nice they came packaged, they were sent in a really secure red envelope which meant that they didn't get damaged in the post and then they were wrapped in this cute pink and white striped gift bag with a cute 'Sophiawithlove' sticker on, which I thought was such a thoughtful and nice touch.

The first piece I want to talk about is the Blue Pastel Rose Ring, I love this, the colour is so nice and wearable and it's just one of those pieces that looks super gorgeous on! It's such an individual ring and you can tell it's really well made. The thing I really like about this ring is the fact it's adjustable, on the back of the ring you have two metal straps which is so cool, I sometimes find when ordering jewellery online it can be a bit of a pain to pick exactly the right size of ring so this is really useful especially as one size fits all. I think that this ring would make a perfect gift for family and friends and a really nice treat for yourself, it's just a really nice piece that can be worn everyday to give your outfit a nice pop of colour or you can wear it on special occasions to help give you that 'wow' factor. The most amazing thing about this piece is the price! I couldn't believe it when I saw on the website that it was only £2.00, that is such a good price for such a quality piece and I'm sure these will be snapped up really quickly! You can take a look at this ring here, definitely go and check it out it really is a great piece. They also have the rose ring in peach, pink, sky blue and black, so there's loads for you too choose from!

The next piece I want to mention is probably the best of the bunch just because it's so individual and unique, I love seeing pieces of jewellery that really express the person and are so out their and different. I feel like you can really show your personal style through the jewellery you wear and the YSL inspired knuckle ring in Red & Gold is amazing for that. This is one of those ring's that may or may not be your cup of tea, but I really like it and I think with the right outfit it can really be a show stopping piece. It's so cool, I love the detailing on the jewel, it almost has a marbellised effect on it with the deep red and then the effect of the black on top.  This ring is a really good and also really affordable copy of the Yves Saint Laurent Arty, Gold-plated gold ring, which you can see here for a much more pricey £180.00. So you can see that you can pretty much get an exact copy of a designer ring for an amazingly affordable price from Sophia loves.
One of the coolest things about this ring is the fact that it has multi ways of wearing it. You can wear it so that the jewel rests on your knuckle or you can turn it around and make the jewel rest on your finger. You can see from the photo's above I personally like to wear mine with the jewellery resting on my knuckle. This ring is really comfortable to wear, which is good, i'm very fussy with rings and kind of almost like to forget their there otherwise I keep playing with them and concentrating on them a bit too much. When you take the ring off it is quite a heavy piece but on your finger it's really comfortable and easy to wear, which I wasn't sure it would be just because it sits on my knuckle but I almost feel like it's more secure because of that. Sophia also said that you can pick these up in loads of different shades, I know they do a black version too. As I said I think this is one of those pieces of jewellery that can really help you to dress an outfit up. I think this would look really cool if you painted your nails red and wore either a red, gold or black top or dress, but I think it would go with quite  a lot of outfits. I really do like this!

The next piece I got sent from the lovely Sophia was these gorgeous Coral Daisy Earrings, these are super cute and wearable studs, these are the perfect earrings for everyday wear and they are just going to work effortlessly and make you look really nice. These are so cute and I think these would be the perfect gift for your best friend and sister, these earrings come in a range of colours, you can pick them up in white, mint, pastel green, pink, purple, red and yellow. They are also retail for an amazing £1.00!! That is such a brilliant price, you can pick these up in every single shade for under £10.00 which is just crazy. I feel that these earrings will be perfect for summer, they can be chucked on with a summer dress or a cute play suit and it will give you just the right accessory for the warmer months. They will also work and be really cute through spring to just help you get that pop of colour back in your life after the dull winter months. These would also be the perfect beach accessory too and I just really think they're a lovely product! You can pick up these gorgeous daisy earrings in a shade of your choice here.

Last but definitely not least is this really nice Friendship Bracelet, friendship bracelets are such a cute thing and again this would make a great gift for any of your friends, I really like this, it's soft and isn't over the top, it just has a nice, simple pattern on it. This is so easy to wear and that's what you want in a friendship bracelet because you'll probably be wearing the piece everyday so you need it to be nice and comfortable. Again Sophia said that they make these in a load of shades so you can pick the shade which suits you and your bestfriend the best. Again I really like this piece and am really happy to own it, it's sooo nice!

Overall you can tell that i'm really impressed with the amazing jewellery I received from Sophia and i'd like to just say a huge thank you too her for the great opportunity! I would also like to direct you to her blog which is: http://sophiameola.blogspot.co.uk/ it's a great blog full of fashion, beauty and lifestyle posts so it's got something for everyone and she also has a giveaway running until the 31st January! I would also hope you'll go and follow her on twitter @SophiaMeola she's a lovely girl and always happy to have a chat! Lastly please please please go out and check out this gorgeous website http://www.sophiawithlove.co.uk/index.html look at all the gorgeous pieces she has on offer, they're all so great and affordable and also follow Sophia with love on twitter @Sophiawithlove1! and also if you have facebook go and 'like' Sophia with love's page! Angelica Nail's Nail Polish - Exposure 65

Angelica Nail Polish - Primark - £2.50 - Exposure 65

Hi Ladies, Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! For Christmas,  my best friend got me loads of really cute, little gifts, she knows me really well so every gift was perfect and I thought I'd share with you one of them today. Now, I've never heard of Angelica Nail Colours as a brand before, but a bit of Google searching I found out that they were a nail varnish range that actually sell at Primark, I was quite shocked about that because the quality and price of this nail polish doesn't really reflect Primark.

This nail polish is gorgeous, I could have spent a huge amount of time taking pictures of it because it's just so pretty! The shade she picked up for me is actually called 'Exposure 65' and it's a navy blue glittery colour full of really small specks of silver and purple glitter. It's so lovely and really nice to wear when it's so cold and snowy outside. I just really like it and I think the brush is nice and just such a cool nail varnish. Unfortunately I couldn't take a picture of this on my nails due to the fact that I have gel nails on at the moment and I didn't want to ruin them, but I painted a fake nail and I think you can see that this polish has a pretty awesome coverage. Normally I find glitter nail polishes too be quite a pain because I have to keep building and building layers and then my nails feel tacky for ages and take ages to dry which is annoying because I nearly always manage to smudge them, but this polish was different within two coats it had a pretty opaque coverage and seemed to dry quite quickly.

Also I couldn't check out the claim about it glowing in UV light because I don't have any UV light running around my home but i'm sure if you went to a rave or something like that then it would glow in the dark which is a cool added feature. Overall it gets a huge thumbs up from me and I'm definitely going to have a look around Primark next time I'm there and see if I can find any more of these bad boys!

Have you ever tried out Angelica Nail's nail varnish? xxx

My Favourite Lipsticks

Primark Red, MUA Shade 13, MUA Shade 7, Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 101, L'Oreal 325  , Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 20, Topshop 'Innocence', MUA Shade 3, Mac Outrageously Fun, Kate Moss Shade 19, MUA Shade 4, Mac Angel, Kate Moss shade 1, Primark Pink.

Hi everyone, today's post is a bit pic heavy but I thought I would show you my favourite lipsticks, these are my most worn lipsticks and the ones that I find have a good formula, good colour pay off or are overall just a really nice shade. There are 14 lipsticks that i'm showing you, all different formula's and colours and price ranges going from £1.00 right up to £14.00. Until I joined the blogging community I wasn't a massive fan of lipsticks in all honesty, I found them really hard to apply and wear and they were oftent he step that I skipped when doing my makeup in the morning because I just thought it was more of a 'night-out' thing and I could potentially look too dressed up wearing a lipstick during the day. How wrong I was?! Now I think lipsticks are my favourite makeup product to buy and try out, I love them, they're are so many shades and some really compliment your skin tone and make your makeup look glamourous and put together, so for that I thank the blogging world. Anyway, i'm going to try not to ramble too much and just get on with the post, if you want any individual reviews of any of the lipsticks featured let me know, although i'll try to make sure that I add links to posts I've previously done on most of them.

The first lipstick I love is this bright red lipstick, I love the packaging, pink polka dots are really nice and this lipstick is really creamy, I actually picked this lipstick up from Primark and it's one of the lipsticks within their makeup range, it was only one pound and one and an impulse purchase at the till  but this began my love affair with red lipsticks, I felt that this let me try them out and they're quite good quality for the price, not as nice as the MUA one's but still pretty good, this is a very individual shade too, it looks very dark in the tube but when swatched it is actually quite bright.

The next lipstick that I love is the MUA lipstick in shade 13, this was also a pound & I love it, the MUA formula's are amazing, they can be built up or worn sheer and they are really creamy and moisturising on the lips. They have a strong vanilla type smell which i'm not a fan off but they wear amazingly on the lips, they're so cheap at a £1.00 piece, the packaging is sleek and cute and they're a great quality. This red lipstick has a strong coral undertone which makes it great if you want to go red but not for a bright red that can sometimes look overpowering. It's been featured in an individual review on my blog here.

The next lipstick is again a MUA lipstick (told you I love them) & this is in shade 7, this was my first corally lipstick and I actually quite like it, if you want to wear something that isn't pink or red and a lot more nude and simple on the lips then this is the perfect lipstick, it adds a sheer amount of coral without being an overpowering orange. Again has been featured in a blog post here.

The next lipstick that I love is the Kate Moss lipsticks from Rimmel London, they are amazing and you'll see several featured within this post because they're great quality and are a good price because you can pick them up at Boots. This is the shade 101, it is a gorgeous milky pink and probably one of my favourites, it's so wearable, creamy and easy to wear whatever makeup look you decide to go with & they last well too. This colour is one that would suit most skin tones and work for everyone. You can find a earlier review of this product on my blog here.

The next is this L'Oreal lipstick number 325, this is such a cool colour, it's a strong wash of colour and is almost vampy, it's a berry that comes out with purple undertones when swatched. It has a small amount of micro glitter which means that it is much more suitable for evening wear, I think this is quite a daring lipstick, so better for evenings overall.

The next lipstick is another one from the Kate Moss lipsticks for Rimmel, it's actually number 20 told you I was a massive fan, this is one of my fav's it is a bright hot pink, I just really like this because it's a really strong colour that's really out there and gives your face that perfect pop of colour that you need. You can read more here.

The next lipstick featured is from another favourite brand, I actually only own 1 Topshop lipstick (I know! Shock horror) it's not that I don't love it, because I really do, the formula is so impressive for the price and in all fairness they give the likes of Mac and high end brands a run for their money but there isn't a Topshop near by me so I have to order online which is a bit of a pain if all I want is a lipstick. This particular shade is Innocence, I really enjoy it, it's a nice milky pink, it's actually got quite a similar tone to Mac Angel which is my favourite lipstick of all time and it's one of those colours that is like your lips but better, the packaging is also gorgeous with Topshop lipsticks.

The next lipstick is again another love from the Makeup Academy or MUA range, this is another bright pink colour, it is shade 3 and I would say it's less brighter and a tad darker than the Kate Moss lipstick I own, but of a similar tone, I like it because MUA have a slightly sheerer and creamy formula that can be more wearable if you just want to add a slight bit of colour without going all out for the day but it can also be built up for a more opaque coverage. Individual review on my blog can be found here.

The next favourite lipstick could definitely be put in my top 3 favourite lipsticks of all time, I won't go into too much detail about it because I did a review only about a week ago here. But this is Outrageously Fun by Mac, it's a gorgeous Magenta pink that is literally just stunning, it's a crème sheen too and it's just lovely, really adds a pretty pop of colour! Fairly pricey but amazing!

Next is another Kate Moss Lipstick in shade 19, it's a nudey brown colour, this is a lipstick that either works some days or doesn't work other days and I find that if I put it on on the right day it is stunning and looks really simple but effortlessly beautiful. More information here.

The next lipstick you can see has had quite a lot of use, it's shade 4 by MUA it's a bright but light pink, it's not too pigmented, it's very sheer and just works as a quick wash of colour for everyday so it's just perfect.

Next is a lipstick that needs no description it's Mac Angel, it's my favourite lipstick in the whole entire world, its creamy, smells nice and is the most gorgeous pink in the world. I think i'll be repurchasing this lipstick forever, there's not been a day since I got it that I haven't worn it, I love it! Read more here.

The next is a bright, brick red from the Kate for Rimmel Collection (more info here), it's just a stand out colour in my favourite formula, it's great because it's very British and a classic "London" Colour and it just works, I like wearing this when I want a stand out red.

Last is another Primark, lipstick, this is just a light pink one, there's nothing really special about it but it does work for those days where you just want some colour and it's so cheap that it's nice to have in your collection.

Sorry for the massive post! Let me know what you're favourite colours are! xx

Get the look 'Kate Hudson' Golden Globe Look

Hi everyone, today I thought I'd jazz my blog up a bit and use beauty sets to make a 'Get the Look' post, I know I've basically been doing loads and loads of reviews and I think sometimes it gets a bit boring, so let me know if you like reading these kind of posts! I had loads of fun making this and Beauty Sets is a great way to unleash your creativity haha! Anyway, I always check out gossip & magazine websites days after events because I love having a nose at all the celebs dresses and makeup on the red carpet! anyway when I was checking them out the other day I saw Kate Hudson's Golden Globes Makeup and I thought it was so simple and so gorgeous. I'm such a huge fan of Kate Hudson, how to lose a guy in 10 days is probably my favourite film ever and I just think she's one of those naturally beautiful woman (so jealous) anyway  I loved this look so much I thought I would dedicate a whole post to it!
I won't go on too much because the Beauty Set I've created seems to explain everything pretty well but I do want to explain some of the choices of made.
Firstly Kate Hudson has the most gorgeous glowing skin, she looks truly radiant & glowing and her skin has a very healthy glow to it. The best foundation I think you could use to re-create Kate's glowing skin is the YSL Le Teinte Touche Eclate, I've heard loads of good reviews about this and I also tried a sample and loved it, this isn't a foundation that will make you look cakey, it just makes you look smooth and glowing and it has illuminating properties similar to the ones in the original YSL touché éclat which a lot of people swear by as an under eye concealer that adds instant brightness, 'let their be light', anyway you can pick up this foundation in the hope of getting gorgeous skin as good as Kate's on the House of Frazer website here, i'm pretty sure you can pick it up at Debenhams and Boots too if you want to collect some extra points or use some too!
The second essential makeup product in looking as good as Kate is a highlighting product, Kate's skin glows and you can tell she has highlighter on her cheekbones and forehead, the one I would recommend is the gorgeous Stila Highlight here combined with Nars Orgasm blush which has golden shimmer in it and therefore gives you a really rosy glow as well as making you looking really healthy, this is a really hyped up product in the blogging community and you can pick it up on Asos here too, with 10% student discount all year round!
Next is the eyes, L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara works great to lengthen lashes but give them a lot of volume too, Kate's lashes don't look that long in the above photo but the volume of her lashes is seriously intense so I think this is a great high store alternative to the more expensive lashes! You can pick this up at Boots too here  so can use all those advantage card points!
The last product for the eyes is another L'Oreal product, you can see that Kate has a very neutral eye going on with very cool toned colours featured, I can vaguely make out a light silver and a neutral lightish brown. I think the best way to achieve this look on a budget is to pick up one of these L'Oreal Riche Paris quads that contain 4 gorgeous colours, you get a light brown, a silver, a darker brown and also a black that can be used as an eyeliner, meaning you get a complete eye shadow look for under £10.00, this one is in 840 Snooze, you can also pick this up at Boots here .
The last thing I picked to complete Kate's Golden Globe look would be the Mac lipglass in Cultured, it's a gorgeous milky pink lipgloss which adds just enough sheen whilst still looking really natural you can pick this up on the mac website here.
And that's it, thank you for reading, let me know what you think of this look & if you like these sorts of posts! xxx

Boots Extracts - Cocoa Butter Collection

Boots Extracts - Cocoa Butter Collection - here - £10.00

Hi! Today's post is going to be about this really cute Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Collection that my mum got me for Christmas. If you've been reading my blog for a while you probably know that I really love cocoa butter and it's one of my favourite scents. I used to be obsessed with Palmers Cocoa Butter until my mum got me this set for Christmas which I think is even nicer! Within this Boots Extract Collection you get a Cocoa Body Butter, a Cocoa Butter Sugar Scrub and also a Cocoa Butter Body wash, each containing 200ml or 6.7 US FL 'Oz's of product which is a really large amount. One of the main positives of this kit is the fact that they are Fair Trade products, which I'm really happy about, it's really nice that the purchase of these products supports Fair Trade. In this case the products support the farmers of the Dominican Republic who pick the Theobroma Cacao Seed which is what these luxurious butters and scrubs are made out of and also is a natural moisturiser. Another great thing about these products is the fact that they are Dermatologically Tested so are good to put on all parts of your skin and also your face and they don't contain ingredients that could possibly break you out.
The first thing you get as part of this kit is the Cocoa Body Butter which is my favourite of all 3, I love love love body butters, their one of the favourite products to use on my skin and this is one of the best butters I've ever tried, it's so creamy and so thick that it actually has a like body butter consistency that I love. Boots says that the Body Butter "intensively moisturises and hydrates, leaving skin soft and smooth" I would totally agree with this, I use this on my arms, on my legs and sometimes on my face too and it really does hydrate my dry area's, makes me soft and silky and also makes me smell amazing!
Next within this kit you get the Sugar Scrub, Boots describes this as a sugar scrub that "contains natural scrub particles to exfoliate leaving skin smooth, bright and feeling rejuvenated". Again, I agree, the particles within this Sugar Scrub are some of the biggest I've ever seen, they really do exfoliate all of the dead skin cells and leave you with a really nourished and soft set of skin. I would apply this on damp skin after I've left the shower and then use the Body Butter after.
Lastly within this kit you get the Body Wash, this is the perfect addition to your shower, Boots says that this "Gently cleanses, conditions & moisturisers, leaving skin soft and smooth" again I would agree, this is a really nice body wash or shower crème and it really nourishes and cleans your skin and again smells amazing!
All in all I really recommend this kit, I love cocoa butter, it's my favourite scent and these three products within this kit are such good quality and I would definitely try something else from the Boots Extract range and it's a great way to do your bit with it being a fair trade product. This also makes an amazing gift, I love it!
